Description

Join us live on Sunday for our SDIFF Pick of the Week Discussing The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Important: You will receive an email* on Sunday, July 19 by 9:00 AM with information on how to access the discussion.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is a 1966 Italian epic Western film directed by Sergio Leone and starring Clint Eastwood as "the Good", Lee Van Cleef as "the Bad", and Eli Wallach as "the Ugly". We want to pay tribute to the genius of Ennio Morricone, the extraordinary music composer who passed away last July 6. The Oscar-winning composer of more than 500 film scores died at 91. He was a unique talent, composing melodic accompaniments to spaghetti westerns, comedies, thrillers and historical dramas by Sergio Leone, Bernardo Bertolucci, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Terrence Malick, Roland Joffé, Brian De Palma, Barry Levinson, Mike Nichols, John Carpenter, Quentin Tarantino, and many other filmmakers.

For the discussion Sunday we will have Beth Accomando (KPBS and Film Geeks San Diego), Yazdi Pithavala (Film Critic Moviewallas), and Miguel Rodriguez (Film Geeks San Diego, Horrible Imaginings Film Festival).

Available on Netflix.
