Purehearted teen Lazzaro is content living as a sharecropper in rural Italy, but an unlikely friendship with the marquise’s son will change his world. The film, directed by Alice Rohrwacher, won the award for Best Screenplay at Cannes Film Festival, and was considered one of the Best movies in 2018 for The New York Times.
