Description

When Matteo’s life falls apart, he moves into his 1985 VW camper van and begins his odyssey. With a free ticket and nothing left to lose, he sets out on a journey to Naples in search of his father’s heritage, and, even more—the secret of Neapolitan pizza. From the street artists in Naples, Matteo discovers l’arte di arrangiarsi—the art of overcoming an obstacle, of being resourceful. He is fascinated by how they “arrange,” to make something out of nothing. Matteo quickly learns that pizza is indeed a form of arrangiarsi—food of the poor, made simply of flour and water. His quest for their secret also becomes the metaphor that informs the themes of arrangiarsi and Matteo’s own story. This film is a passionate love story about heritage, family, Naples, following a dream, having the faith that Spirit takes care of you, and… the greatest pizza on earth. Troncone proves you can live your dream and leaves us wondering how we can “arrange” ours.
